We understand that every event is not child friendly. However, we are dedicated to changing how events are coordinated by allowing attendees to bring children and providing a safe place for the children at the event.
Meet Our CEO
Vanessa Woods is an educator, mentor, and nurturer. Along with a Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education, she holds a State of Florida Teacher Certificate, Director’s Credential, and is CPR/First Aid certified! Vanessa has been married for over 43 years to her husband Verdun, they are the proud parents of 7 adult children and grandparents of 18.
Vanessa has a love and passion for creating memorable experiences for children using her diverse talents, gifts, creativity, and years of experience in the childcare industry. She has cared for and taught not only her own children but many others. Her kind heart, determination, joy, and passion for caring for children never goes unnoticed.
In 2004, she established and successfully operated a state licensed in-home family childcare, Nessa Bee’s Hive Childcare & Learning Center Inc. The in-home center quickly reached full enrollment, so she secured a building to continue operations. Nessa Bee’s Hive Childcare & Learning Center Inc. became a full-service childcare facility established to provide affordable, high-quality care to infants, toddlers preschoolers, and school agers of working parents. Nessa Bee’s Hive lived up to its motto, “Your Child’s Home Away from Home.”
In addition to managing these childcare operations, Mrs. Woods re-entered the workforce and taught for public-school districts, charter schools, and a private academy.
After successfully hosting wedding events, birthday parties, and reunions, all of which needed onsite childcare, she established Nessa Bee’s Hive Event Childcare, Inc. in November 2019.
